When an app becomes part of the user’s voice

A communication tool can be involved in some of the user’s most personal conversations – with family, professionals, and healthcare staff. This gives us a special responsibility. That is why we integrate security and privacy throughout the product’s lifespan: from initial technical choices to daily operations and ongoing monitoring.

Security is about protecting apps, systems, and data from unauthorized access, loss, and misuse. Privacy is about what information is processed, why it is used, and who it is shared with. At TalkiTale, we integrate both from the initial technical choices to daily operations.

Technical security

We build our apps on well-established technologies and select suppliers focused on security and stable operation. Data is encrypted both during transfer between apps and servers and when stored in our hosting environment. Access to operational and administration systems is restricted.

Privacy, GDPR, and ePrivacy

Data protection is part of our technical decisions from the start. Sharing only happens actively: the person managing the content chooses which individuals in the user’s network are granted access. Our apps do not fetch or store information beyond what the app needs to function. They contain no advertising and no third-party tracking.

Green data hosting 100% in the EU

All user data from TalkiTale apps is hosted with the German provider Hetzner, in data centers located in Germany and operated on 100% renewable energy.

The most important security work is often invisible. Peak Privacy helps us make it documentable.

Continuous monitoring

stemp.li scans released versions of TalkiTale apps in the App Store and verifies, among other things, whether user data is shared with third parties, whether data remains in the EU, whether the app retrieves or stores information on the device without consent, and whether the app behaves as described in our privacy policies.
