TalkiTale was founded in 2025 by Zsuzsanna Etches, PhD in bioinformatics and mother of a child without spoken language. Zsuzsanna has experienced firsthand the frustrations that arise when communication is a challenge – not only for the child, but for the entire family. This planted the seed for a vision to create technological solutions that can give a voice to those who do not have a verbal language.
Even though we live in a digital age, there is still a lack of effective tools to support communication for people with disabilities. TalkiTale was created to meet that exact need. Our goal is to make communication accessible through intuitive and engaging technology that makes it easier for children, parents, professionals, and caregivers to understand each other. TalkiTale’s ambition is to support the entire communication journey, whether it involves signs, symbols, or other ways of communicating.

Zsuzsanna Etches
Founder & CEO
Zsuzsanna holds a PhD in bioinformatics and has many years of experience in software development from the biotech industry. She is also the mother of a child without spoken language and therefore has deep personal insight into augmentative and alternative communication.
Jonas Dreioe
Software Developer
Jonas is studying software engineering at Aarhus University and is a user of alternative communication himself. Jonas also uses TalkiSign, drawing on his own experiences as he continuously tests and improves the app.
Signe Borup
Communications Specialist
Signe has a background in the humanities and experience in communication from the cultural sector. She has her own personal connection to the disability field, bringing strong insight into the everyday life and world that TalkiTale works with.
